My name is Joseph Merrett and my passion is to empower & facilitate people to grow their own organic vegetables, fruit & herbs. I offer consultation, design, education and installation for all your edible gardening needs.

My business ethos enables my clients (residential and commercial) to grow their organic vegetables, fruit, and herbs. We offer design, consultation, and installation of edible gardens, composting, and greywater systems.

Homegrown Vegetable Garden Services is located in the Niagara Region, Ontario. About me: I have an undergrad in Horticulture, Master of Landscape Architecture, Certified Horticulture Technician and Certified Landscape Horticulture Manager designations. I also have two decades of professional horticultural experience. I work with team members ranging from agricultural specialists, horticulturists, a chef for food preservation and storage instruction, and vegetable landscaping team members.

A further key element of my business is that we offer education in growing food in a manner that is minimally detrimental to natural living systems and the environment. Homegrown Vegetable Garden Services is committed to increasing biodiversity, respecting natural life systems, using no herbicides or pesticides, and reducing the food transportation's carbon footprint by growing locally.

I offer a 12-week course with individual segments for presentation purposes to suit particular client needs. I feel education is paramount to growing healthy, locally grown organic food in the future of climate change and deepening environmental degradation.
