The Still Yummy Food Project connects unsold edible food with community partners who can distribute the food to people who need it.
This helps to: - reduce hunger and poverty - prevent perfectly good food from ending up in landfill - reduce environmental harm
We need volunteer drivers to pick up food donations from bakeries, cafes, restaurants, and grocery stores and deliver it to our community partners, such as food banks and homeless shelters.
Below is a video from the CBC on the problem of food waste and how we can help fix it through food rescue programs.
